Who We Are
Our organization, called “Optimistic Nurses and Midwives’ Ghana (ONAM GH),” is founded on the Christian tradition of the pine tree. The pine tree symbolizes eternal life, hope in the resurrection of Christ, enlightenment, longevity, wisdom, and spiritual renewal. The evergreen nature of the pine tree represents the eternal life offered through faith in Christ. We are committed to upholding Christian values and beliefs in all our endeavors as we believe they are the fundamental principles that Jesus Christ, our personal Lord and Savior, has given us for our organization
- As the first non-profit organization dedicated to seeking the interests of nurses and midwives, we are committed to helping these healthcare professionals gain international sponsorship through job placements. Over the years, we have helped more than 300 nurses and midwives secure employment opportunities abroad.
- Beyond our primary focus on nurses and midwives, we also prioritize helping the incapacitated needy and the poor. We recognize the challenges faced by individuals who are unable to work due to chronic illnesses, and we provide support to ensure that they receive the necessary care and assistance.
- Furthermore, we also cater to retirees from all sectors of jobs. We believe that these individuals deserve the utmost respect and care for their contribution to society, and we seek to provide them with the support they need to enjoy a fulfilling retirement.
- Our ultimate vision is to extend our works globally, reaching out to more individuals in need across different parts of the world. As a diverse and inclusive organization, we welcome people from all walks of life regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, or religion.
- "As our motto declares, "Hope for humanity," we understand that hope is an essential human need. It represents the belief that a better future is possible and that positive change can occur. When people lack hope, they can become discouraged, demotivated, and even depressed. Our organization recognizes the significance of hope in people's lives, and is dedicated to providing it through our work."
